Location: Grand Cayman; GPS: N19 23.036 / W81 19.346
As you descend the mooring line at Lemon Wall, looking down it looks as though someone has used a cookie cutter to sculpt the edge of the wall. The mooring pin is almost directly on the edge of the wall and sits in 50 ft of water.
One of the main points of beauty about this site is that the wall has so much detail, including plenty of gullies and cut-ins. This means you do not have to go very deep or very far from the pin to really enjoy a rather unique dive site. There is always a lot of hidden life in these cut-ins; divers observe marine life that ranges from grouper to green moray eels. On the side of the wall, you can also see gorgonian fans protruding. Be sure to look for hidden arrow crabs amongst the branches of these sea fans!
Lemon Wall is also one of the "Holy Trinity" of dives sites where you can expect higher than average number of sightings of eagle rays. Look out into the blue and you may be pleasantly surprised by spotting an eagle ray here! The top of the wall boasts long, broad coral fingers interspersed with sand gullies that are a haven for the macro life; the colors of the tube sponges really stand out, and there is an inordinate amount of fan and whip coral to explore. All this means that there is always something new and exciting to explore at Lemon Wall dive site.
