Dive 365: Mixing Bowl (also known as 'Three Fathom Wall')
Location: Little Cayman; GPS: N19 41.095 / W80 04.680
Mixing Bowl, also known as Three Fathom Wall for its starting depth of 18 ft, is located at the junction of Bloody Bay and Jackson Bight, and will completely astound divers with its vast array of places to explore. It is considered one of the most popular dive sites in Little Cayman for various reasons.
Because of its varying depths, it attracts both veteran and novice divers. A variety of interesting creatures dart in and out of Mixing Bowl’s many fissures: Caribbean reef sharks, nurse sharks, horse-eye jacks, sea turtles, jawfish and Bermuda chubs, to name some. Reefs, corals, sponges, anemones and other aquatic plants coalesce to form colorful underwater expanses.
