JoAnne Brown, Founder, CEO and Creative Director of Celebrations has made a significant contribution to Cayman Islands tourism over the past 20 years, and for her efforts, she was presented with the prestigious Cayman Stingray Tourism Long Service Award for 2013.
JoAnne's business took off and grew rapidly from strength to strength, and 20 years later, Celebrations is now the largest and most successful wedding and event design, planning and production company in the Caribbean. Her brides and corporate clientele come from all over the world to enjoy the best of Cayman. She has been creating dream weddings since 1993, and in the subsequent years have been recognized as an international wedding designer with a specialty in destination and luxury weddings. Celebration’s events have been featured in numerous publications and television programs around the world, including, The Knot, Style Network, Travel & Leisure Romance, Destination Weddings & Honeymoons and The Travel Channel, to mention a few.
She also played a significant role in bringing three luxury wedding summits to Island showcasing the Cayman Islands as a premiere destination wedding location to 250 wedding experts from 28 US states and eight countries. She has also spoken at various international conferences, continuing to be an ambassador for Cayman.
After Hurricane Ivan, she rebuilt Celebrations and continued to grow her business. She never gave up through the many struggles 20 years posed to her! Celebrations has been successful because of her unconditional love for this country and for what she does! It is not a business to her, it is her life's passion and through this she has made a large contribution to Cayman. She lives and breathes Cayman and will continue to be a major contributor to Cayman's reputation as a premier destination in the Caribbean.
