Tell us about DiveTech
Divetech provides scuba experiences and training from absolute beginner up to instructor level. The company supports both recreational and technical divers and also caters to rebreather divers. In addition to the daily activities of the company which include boat diving, shore diving and a selection of training programs, Divetech hosts special events throughout the year with different focus points ranging from kids activities to those for exceptionally advanced individuals.
The company has been running for around 25 years and is based in West Bay in Grand Cayman. The current owner Jo Mikutowicz is always on the lookout for new developments in the scuba industry to bring to the island for Divetech to offer.
What role does your company play in tourism?
Divetech offer products and services primarily to the tourism industry. Divetech’s customers are a mixed set and include visitors to the island who would like to take part in the watersports on offer here and find Divetech through advertising, marketing, social media, internet presence, word of mouth or recommendations from friends partners and associates.
Additionally, the niche product set and reputation that Divetech has to offer brings tourists to the island specifically to dive with us.
Furthermore, Divetech has been working extensively with dive centers in the States and Canada for over two decades now. The result of this is that many dive centers and travel operators arrange group travel to Grand Cayman specifically to dive with Divetech.
What are your future plans for DiveTech
Divetech will continue to develop its product to ensure that it is the best it can be for the visitors to Grand Cayman. In addition to maintaining an exemplary safety level, the company strives to ensure that it is a leader in customer service. Divetech will continue to explore new and innovative ways to bolster our existing practices that are designed to assist the environment.
From a business point of view, Divetech endeavour to streamline our reservation processes to make it even easier for customers to book their dive and stay packages with us.
