The National Trust has been protecting the Cayman Islands' heritage since its inception in 1987. The Trust is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization created to preserve the history and biodiversity of the Cayman Islands. Through education and conservation, we work to protect environmentally-sensitive and historically-significant sites across all three Cayman Islands. The Trust protects nine nature reserves, preserves 12 historic sites and has over 1,000 members. The Trust offers several nature and heritage tours including the Mastic Trail, the Historic Mission House, the Blue Iguana Safari which is located in the Botanic Park, a private birding tour and a historic walking tour of George Town.
